Notas de Oro is a collaboration between DJ Ragnar and Sean Ericson. The project began as a weekly post to help readers better understand the orchestras and songs we listen to. Notas De Oro has been running since July 9th, 2025 (the notes of the golden age started on Nuevo de Julio of course).

Ragnar is a world traveler with a deep love for music and dance. Based in Germany, his passion for tango Argentino has taken him across borders both physical and metaphorical, connecting him with people and cultures through the universal language of tango.
Music has always been an essential part of his life; outside of tango, Ragnar plays the guitar and enjoys writing his own songs.
He curates each tanda to take dancers on a journey, guiding them through a rich variety of traditional tango music over the course of the milonga. For Ragnar, DJing is not just about playing music—it’s about creating an experience where music, movement and expression come together, where the dancers move to and within the music as they create a unique connection with their partner.
Ragnar is an internationally recognized DJ and gives lectures on tango music history. Reach out if you are interested in having Ragnar at your next event.
